22nd Annual Conference A success!

The Annual Conference of the North Carolina Permitting Personnel Association was held in Charlotte on November 8th-9th, 2023, with 120 members in attendance. Guest speakers provided participants with over nine hours of informative presentations and attendees had many opportunities to network with their peers from across the state during meals, breaks, and free time in the evenings.

The Board is currently in the planning process for the next annual conference, and information will be available in July 2024.

2021 Conference Presentations

The North Carolina Permitting Personnel Association is now an International Code Council Chapter. Chapter status is awarded to organizations of code-related industry professionals who support and promote the mission and goals of the International Code Council. Individually and as a group, chapter members work to create partnerships with members of the building community and increase public awareness of the value of code officials in our daily lives.  NCPPA is honored to become the fifth chapter in North Carolina and joins the other four industry associations which include the Building Inspectors, Fire Marshals, Mechanical Inspectors, and Plumbing Inspectors. An important objective of our chapter is to develop and advance the professional abilities of our members by providing educational seminars and training, industry updates, networking opportunities, support and shared expertise and experiences.

Annual Membership renewals

The NCPPA membership year runs from July 1st through June 30th, and renewal forms for 2023-2024 are now available on the Forms & Documents page. The Board did determine that a fee increase was necessary, the first since the organization was founded in 2001.

If your department or agency is not yet a member, or your membership has lapsed, you may also use the form to join or rejoin the organization.  The package also includes a letter from President Patricia Hickmon.
