2021 Annual Conference Postponed
As you know, due to circumstances beyond anyone's control, the 20th Annual Conference which would have been held in November 2020 was canceled due to COVID-19 concerns and restrictions.
The Officers and Directors held a virtual meeting in March 2021 to discuss the possibility of holding the annual conference in October 2021. After much discussion, they decided that it would be prudent to postpone the conference, possibly until February 2022. Regrettably, there are simply too many uncertainties still remaining with the pandemic to make the commitments that holding the event in November would require.
Additional updates concerning the conference scheduling will be posted here.
NCPPA Attains ICC Chapter Status
The North Carolina Permitting Personnel Association is now an International Code Council Chapter. Chapter status is awarded to organizations of code-related industry professionals who support and promote the mission and goals of the International Code Council. Individually and as a group, chapter members work to create partnerships with members of the building community and increase public awareness of the value of code officials in our daily lives. NCPPA is honored to become the fifth chapter in North Carolina and joins the other four industry associations which include the Building Inspectors, Fire Marshals, Mechanical Inspectors, and Plumbing Inspectors. An important objective of our chapter is to develop and advance the professional abilities of our members by providing educational seminars and training, industry updates, networking opportunities, support and shared expertise and experiences.
